Kayak Experience Ullswater

EVER FANCIED KAYAKING BUT DIDN’T WANT TO THROW YOURSELF IN AT THE DEEP END? YOU HAVE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE!
Our kayak experience on Ullswater is aimed at people who are complete beginners wanting a ‘have a go experience’, those looking for a fun few hours with like-minded people doing something a little different or those looking for a fun and exciting family day.

Our qualified instructor will teach you some basic skills before kitting you up and getting you on the water. On the lake you will have a journey, practice some skills and try some (optional) challenges. As Kenneth Grahame said “There is nothing – absolutely nothing – half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats.”

No Spaces available for the morning session? We have an afternoon session on the same day which may have spaces available- afternoon session.

This venue has toilets, showers and changing facilities.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

• Footwear Trainers or wetsuit boots (NO wellingtons)
• Base Layer top/ T-shirt
• Fleece Mid-weight fleece
• Trousers or Shorts. NO jeans
• Spare clothing BE PREPARED in case you get wet.
• Towel
• Drink. At least 1 litre (NO alcohol)
• Personal Medication. Any prescription medicines you need such as inhaler
• Sun Glasses. The reflection from the water can be very bad on the eyes
• Sun Screen. We highly recommend factor 30 minimum

We provide all the other safety equipment, a cagoule, waterproof phone/ key case and a dry-bag (waterproof bag) to carry your spare clothes and other personal belongings.

Minimum age 9 years. Ideal for individuals, couples and small groups. The spaces are limited to nine people and are sold on a first come first serve basis. Once you book you will automatically receive an email which will allow you to down load all the information.

If the date we are offering on our ‘Shared Experiences’ doesn’t suit you, we offer private bookings for every activity and experience we offer! With private bookings we don’t add additional people to your booking and every activity/ experience is tailored specifically to your needs and requirements.
